Promotional postcard featuring Heavyweight Champion Rocky Marciano in his classic pose has an outstanding handwritten note to a member of the clergy in Palmer, Massachusetts, dating to November of 1954.  The note, sent from California in the period between the second Charles fight and the Don Cockell bout of the following year, fills the entire left side of the postcard and was written with a bold, blue ball-point pen.
It reads: "So nice hearing from you.  We'll be back in New England around Dec. 10 - give us a call - we'd certainly like to meet you.  Haven't been in Palmer, Mass for at least 10 years.  Please remember us in your prayers.  Rocky"
All of the handwriting was done by Marciano, the Heavyweight Champ the World at that time.
Condition of the postcard itself is Excellent, with only minor bumping to the corners.
