The lines which were drawn are to indicate the amount of light to the ideal conditions for that particular photographic paper. I have not used anything like this, but thought it is a really neat device for art or professional photography. I was thinking it could be used in a dark room for developing film as well. Overall, if you are a fan of vintage tech and love to do art photography, or use vintage printing, this is the device for you!
